DR. TOM CAMP REMEMBERED
The River of Living Water United Methodist Church grieves the homegoing of Dr. Nath Thompson “Tom” Camp, a founding member and a prominent leader in the church. Dr. Camp was also one of the founders of The Alabama Honduras Medical Educational Network (AHMEN) is a Christian ministry that partners with volunteers and organizations to share the love of Christ in Honduras through medical relief and educational development.
Dr. Tom Camp passed away on January 21, 2018 and memorial service was held on January 25, 2018 at Kilgore Green Funeral Home. A large community of sympathizers gathered to show support for the family and to bid farewell to a beloved friend, doctor and humanitarian (click here for memorial service). Family and friends gathered after the Memorial Service at River of Living Water UMC - Jasper Campus for the repass.
He served for many years as Sunday School teacher of the adult class, an assignment he held until his passing. Prior to becoming sick, he served as chairperson of the Finance Team. Over the years, he had held many positions and actively participated in many roles. He was a good listener, an encourager, a philanthropist and a person of humble spirit. He is dearly missed.
